Time

How time has its way with us.

Time why do you punish us
Like a pouring rain into the stream, you wash away our dreams
Time why do you punish us
Like a wind that steals its leaves from its tree
Tomorrow is just another day of our time for you to run free

Does He Realize?

Does He Realize?

Does he realize he came down here and took you too soon? So far in the sky beyond the moon
The way I swoon at the mention of your name, you played the game and lost
Doesn’t he realize your family paid the cost?
Under a swaying tree you no lie, but the soul above high
One day to be together again, I wait and wonder,
Does he realize he took you soon?

Dream

I’m in this dream, it seems standing along a strolling stream, trees stand tall above me high, the sunlight bright above in the sky.
The light grows brighter, beckoning me, as an image appears, for I know she is here. She speaks to me softly in my ear, just a whisper but I can hear. Live your live happy, no sorrow or tears. You only have one chance to adhere. I love and miss you so, but I’m up above watching below.
I watch as she slowly disappears into the forest near. Here words still ring in my ears. I will take to heart what she has said. But I know one day I’ll see here again, whether in my dreams, or up on a cloud together our souls to behold.

How Do You Say Goodbye?

How do you say goodbye, to the ones you love, the ones that love you back? How hard it will be, for them the most, now being a ghost? Now longer here in mind and body. Buried and gone, I meant none of them any harm.
How will my children feel, knowing their mother was weak? What kind of answers will they seek? Will they remember I tried so hard, as hard as I could? I just keep falling, though everyone tried calling, to get me back to where I should be. How will they know it was none of their faults, I loved them all with my heart and soul. I could no longer bear to see the sadness in their eyes watching me slip once again, into my dark abyss.
Will my loving husband know he tried all he could? So many times, more than he should. A burden was I for too long. He deserves so much more, a wife full of life.
I was too weak, I could not keep holding. The bottom slipped out from under and folded around me. Fell for too long, now forever at the bottom of the dark sea.

Do You Believe?

Do you believe?
Do you believe there is someone in this world for each and every one of us to love?
Do you believe somewhere in the universe, each and everyone has a soul mate to hold?
Someone to trust, with your heart and soul
Someone to confide everything you hide
Someone who will give up their live and die for you
Someone who will keep your heart safe and locked inside
Someone you know will always be on your side
Someone who will always meet you half way, and not sway
Someone who lets you be the real you, no pretending
Someone who can end a sentence for you
Almost as one, connected by a blessed fate
Perfect for each, never to find another
Never having to wonder if we missed out on each other
I do believe, for the one I married is my wonder!
Our love remains the same, lasting together forever

Thankful

I am thankful to be alive, to be happy again, to my surprise
I am thankful to my wonderful husband for his love for me is in over abundance
Thankful for my beautiful children, who I love with my heart and soul
To my parents, who love me so
To my friends devotion of not letting go
Though this year has been a hard one, I do not regret, as they say “what does not kill you only makes you stronger”. I am set!
I am thankful for the wonderful friends I have found here, their support I endear
So to all just look around, there is something to be thankful in us all
Happy Thanksgivings

This Pen

It seems to have a mind of its own at times, for there is no stopping its rhyme
So new to me this writing, so exciting and relaxing
To express yourself, what a therapy of help
No longer are For this pen I hold, it slowly strolls across my paper for stories to be told
emotions locked inside, stealing your mind
Pen it down, release the hounds
Share it with the world, for it might help others with their downs
It is now embedded in my being, someone I never knew inside of me breathing

Differences

Differences in people are all around us, in leaps and bounds It is what makes the world go round, makes some people frown I think it’s a wonderful thing for differences in abound Gay or straight? Religion or race? We should not hate Each and every one of us has something different to give as we live Physically challenged? Mentally disable? You never know the turn of the tables, if you yourself enabled What a boring world it would be if in fact we were all the same Embrace and love all mankind, because in the end we all end up in one place

Jade, My Special Daughter

She came as quite a surprise, not as planned as we intended.
A beautiful china doll, we named Jade, tiny as could be, with big almond shaped eyes staring up at me. Soon to be told, delays in her learning were to be expected. As far as they can see they can offer no explanation. Our hearts sank, how could this be. Was it me to blame? Would I feel shame?
Would we be able to hold it together? What would her future be? We needed to be stronger than ever.
Told she may not walk, told she may not talk. Jade, My Special Daughter, I will stand by her side and never surrender. I was willing to go the mile, all the while trying to smile. As hard as I knew it might be, I would keep her safe by me.
To everyone's surprise, walk she did, talk she did. It took a lot of time, but it came to be. As years went by, my delightful social butterfly, emerges at her own pace. A wonder to behold. A smile so warm, a heart so dear. One of the brightest, funniest remarks, will make my day. Loved by all, my little china doll.
Though the road is still long, I will hold strong. I believe fate smiled and destiny followed. With love and patience, she will make her way. One of the wonders, she belongs to me, how lucky I am to have her in my life. How she makes me remember how all of us are unlike.
Jade, My Special Daughter, God gave her to me, how special I must also be.
